The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in a California Vehicle Accident

Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in the state of California at the age of 55.

Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The renowned game designer passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a highway in LA on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.

"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts stated.
