British Minister for Culture to Hold Talks on Israeli Football Club Fan Ban
The law enforcement official from the West Midlands has requested an immediate reexamination of the decision to prohibit Maccabi Tel Aviv's supporters from attending the upcoming game.
The commissioner, who supervises the police department, explains that this appeal aims to verify whether the ban is appropriate, necessary, justified, sensible, and a balanced step to achieve a legitimate aim.
"This should involve evaluation of every and any possible suitable, alternative options," Foster emphasizes.
He has also asked to examine the written decision and recommendation from the safety committee, as well as the police assessment.
The commissioner stresses, though, that the final decision rests with the committee and the authorities.
